Hello to All!
All is going well here at Sunnyview. It has been just over 7 weeks since Todd's accident and everything continues to be small baby steps. We were able to bring Todd home again this past Sunday. This past week was much more relaxed for everyone since we knew a little more what to expect. It was a very good day. Todd is doing well at therapy. He is walking with a quad cane with the assistance of therapists for his right side. He has limited mobility with his right arm but the therapists are working hard with Todd. With a brain injury patient, consistency is a must. The therapists also want to make Todd as independent as possible in order for him to go home. They are aiming for an earlier discharge rather than later.
Todd's speech continues to be minimal however he has a good level of comprehension. Todd has trouble translating what his brain is actually thinking. This is very frustrating for Todd.
Again please give thanks to the Lord for all that he has done. As wonderful as most of the health care workers have been, we know who is in charge-God.
May God continue to bless each and every one of you.

Hi Gang,
It's your old friend, Dana Ferraro, from Albany Med. It is so encouraging to hear of Todd's progress. We hope things continue to move in a positive direction for Todd. We know you are all staying strong and are with Todd along this journey. He is probably at ease knowing he has all of you with him. As always, Todd and your entire family are always in our hearts.
By the way, my dad, Joe, is still at Albany Med. It will be 6 weeks on thurs, since his accident. He is scheduled for his 10th or 11th surgery on friday. He is making strides everyday.
Love, Dana
To Todd, his family and all of his faithful friends,
It is reassuring to learn of Todd's progress, no matter how slow it may be. Slow and steady is the key to success, and Todd will win this battle with patience, love and faith. It is so awesome to not only read about his progress, but to be able to read and share everyone's comments. Wouldn't it be nice to have a "Black Ross" reunion someday? I came across an old photograph of this classic band and it would be nice to have the lead singer back in action!
Love and prayers,
Deena
Dear Sue and family -
We are all SOO VERY happy to hear of Todd's progress. You are all in our prayers, stay strong!
Tons of Love, Uncle Lou and Sharon
Hi guys,
My mom and I were at Sunnyview on Sunday and were hoping to see you guys and Todd. How exciting that he was home again visiting. I was confused on my last blog b/c my dad has been at AMC for 9 weeks and will be having surgery #13 tomorrow morning (Wednesday). We hope to see you all again soon.
Love,
Dana
I am so happy to hear about Todd's progress. Usually, I keep tabs on him through my father, Dom Maddaloni or through John Cimino but since we are out of town I have relied on this blog for updates. I am so excited to see the autographed picture from the Wilson Sisters! I know how much he loves them! That had to put a huge smile on his face. I think Deena however has a great idea with her suggestion about a "Black Ross" reunion!!! When Todd is ready... I will be first in line for a ticket!(I STILL have the original ticket we made way back in '87 along with a nice picture of Todd sporting blue eye shadow that Cheryl and I put on him for the show?!?)
I will continue to keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Stay strong Todd - hang in there. Your fans are cheering for you.
