Super Bowl Weekend

We hope everyone enjoyed the Super Bowl this past Sunday. Todd had his annual outing with all of his "brothers" (picture on the blog). Of course we can't leave out Peter P. who took the picture. Great job.
Todd is really doing great with all of his therapies. You would all be so proud of him, he is working very hard to get better. So again, thank you for all of your continuous prayers.
Todd received a brace for his right arm this week. He is supposed to wear it for one hour at a time to help straighten his right arm. At the moment Todd's right arm and fingers are contracted. The brace will keep his arm down, especially when walking. Everything takes time which we are all learning to appreciate more and more.
Thank you to everyone for their cards, thoughts and best wishes to Todd on his birthday. He was so overwhelmed and appreciative. He wanted to make sure I wrote a big THANK YOU to everyone. He also wanted to let everyone know that he won $70 from the scratch off lottery tickets that people sent, with the big winner------$25 from T.Z.
There was a very special card and note left at the front door for Todd. We did receive it and Todd was overjoyed to read it. We think it was from one of his dearest old friend's in the world but the note was not signed and we can't seem to get a hold of his number. So please, if you're reading this blog please give us a call. For everyone's information, this man is a true Dolphin's fan and is not afraid to admit it.
Again, you all hold a special place in our hearts and we never could have made it this far without all of your love and support.
God's blessings to each and everyone of you.

Hey, I was thinking about you the other day while I was playing Rock Band (the music video game)...you may want to think about getting that if you don't already have it! Seriously! I know it may sound a little childish, but it may be like therapy. You and friends can sing, play the drums and guitar and have lots of fun. Something to think about. Anyways, hope you had a great birthday and enjoyed the Giants kicking butt :) Stay warm and take care of yourself!

Dear Todd and family,

I am always happy to read about any improvements you are making. I did not have the pleasure to meet you but my mom and sister did. I feel like I know you from the time I spent with your family at Albany Medical Center. My dad, Joe, was there at the same time as you. I could tell from early on that you were a strong, healthy man, just like my dad. He is also making improvements everyday. You are both an inspiration and you and your family will always hold a place in my family's heart. Keep working hard. Happy belated birthday. By the way, my dad, Joe turned 66 on Feb. 3rd.

It is ironic that I'm leaving a comment a few days after my sister. She and I check your blog periodically but I did not know that she checked it the other day. She said most of the things I wanted to say. You and your family are never far from our thoughts. We have complete confidence in your full recovery. Keep up the great, hard work and continue to be patient. The little steps are huge miracles! It sounds like you are making some great progress.
We met briefly at Sunnyview, and from the recent pictures on your blog you're looking stronger and healthier! It's great! Our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you and your family. Happy belated birthday!

Todd,

Glad to see that you are doing so well. Happy Belated Birthday! I did not realize that you are now 40! I guess that makes your sister and I really old....I hope you are getting excited for baseball season to begin. We are thinking that this MIGHT be the year the curse gets broken for the CUBS! I can't wait to see you this summer routing on your nephews at the ball park. I have to try to get more creative with my Chicago treats!

Hi Uncle Toddy-
So I finally got your blogpage unblocked at my work, I'm sorry I haven't been able to check up on you in a while. I'm so happy to hear things are going well. HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY!!!! The big 40, who would have guessed, not me! I know your Dolphins weren't in the Super Bowl, but what an awsome game that was! The catch on the head and Manning getting away from 4 people tugging at his shirt, amazing! I think about you all the time, and I can't wait to see you!
All my love-
Marissa (Tom & Rose's daughter)
