TK done with therapy

There is a lot to report since our last blog, so here it goes:

For those of you who don't know, Todd's speech and physical therapy at Sunnyview ended on March 1st. He continues to go to occupational therapy but that too will be a thing of the past as of May 1st. Sunnyview has taught Todd all of the necessary skills he needs to be able to perform them at home, and thus Todd is doing them on his own. Todd is working out at home which includes riding a stationary bike and taking walks outside. He continues his speech therapy at home with the use and help of a computer program. Todd uses a Saebo hand brace which stimulates nerves in his fingers and helps improve strength in his elbow, wrist, hand and fingers. He also uses an arm brace to help increase flexibility in his right arm. He also makes use of a shoulder brace to help him keep good posture. His right leg is now becoming weight bearing and he uses an EMPI electrotherapy device to stimulate muscle contractions. Overall, Todd is progressing nicely and he loves that people still check in on the blog and leave comments. Thanks to Pete Grant, Jill (pants) and Meach............ I know you guys were wondering...........Todd does read your comments and he says thank you and keep 'em coming.
